Check Types

The Checks Platform MVP will launch servicing three primary check types, each designed for specific financial use cases while offering customization options to suit user preferences.

Payment Checks

Payment Checks facilitate instant, scheduled, or conditional payments between parties. They function like invoices or traditional post-dated checks but with enhanced programmability and security. Their design emphasizes:

  • Collateral

  • Blockchain network

  • Check ID

  • Sent Date

  • Sender address

  • Receiver address

  • Conditions

  • Unique QR code

Vesting Checks

Vesting Checks enable token lock-ups with customizable release schedules. They are ideal for team and investor token allocations, ensuring tokens are released according to pre-defined schedules. Their design highlights:

  • Collateral

  • Blockchain network

  • Check ID

  • Creator address

  • Creation date

  • Vesting end

  • Cliff period

  • Unique QR code

Yield Checks

Yield Checks represent staked CHECK tokens, enabling users to earn rewards from platform fees, marketplace royalties, and yield generated from locked assets across the platform. Their design showcases:

  • Collateral

  • Blockchain network

  • Check ID

  • Creator address

  • Creation date

  • Maturity period

  • Lock period

  • Unique QR code

Customization Options

For the initial release, users will have access to customization options that allow for personal expression while maintaining the functional integrity of the checks:

Color Options

The MVP provides six color designs for the background of NFT Checks:

  • Blue

  • Red

  • Green

  • Purple

  • Orange

  • Pink

These colors help visually differentiate checks in a user's portfolio and can be used to denote different purposes or recipients.

Texture Options

In addition to colors, users can select from six texture designs to add visual depth and uniqueness to their checks:

  • Stripes

  • Zigzags

  • Waves

  • Triangles

  • Bubbles

  • Checkers

The combination of colors and textures creates moderate design possibilities while maintaining the recognizable check format.

Future Design Evolution

As the platform grows and adoption increases, the design options, design structure, and specific details on the checks will be continuously refined to stay in alignment with industry demands. This ongoing process of improvement will be driven by user feedback and continuous platform development.

For instance, imagine a scenario where a new regulatory requirement emerges that necessitates the inclusion of additional information on Vesting Checks. In response, the Checks Platform would update the design and data structure of these checks to accommodate this new requirement, releasing new versions that reflect these changes.

Custom Special Editions

Future iterations of the platform may support special check designs for:

  • Limited editions

  • Partner collaborations

  • Seasonal themes

  • Community contest winners

  • Special themed giveaways

These special editions would maintain all functional requirements while offering enhanced visual appeal or collector value.

Metadata and Display Standards

Each NFT Check contains comprehensive metadata that describes its properties, functions, and current state. This metadata ensures that checks can be properly displayed and utilized across various interfaces, including:

  • The Checks Platform portfolio viewer

  • NFT marketplaces

  • Wallet applications

  • Block explorers

The platform adheres to established metadata standards while extending them to incorporate financial data specific to NFT Checks, ensuring maximum interoperability across the Web3 ecosystem.
